THE NSHS BIG BLUE MARCHING BAND PRESENTS THE 44th ANNUAL
Big Blue Invitational
September 26th, 2026
Starts at 3:00 p.m.
The Big Blue Invitational is one of Virginia’s longest running marching competitions, bringing in bands and spectators from not only our many surrounding counties, but all throughout the state.
We are thrilled to host this annual event, where talented marching bands throughout Virginia showcase their musicianship and performance skills on the field. Our judges include retired directors with wide-ranging experience, university music educators, and world class DCI staff.

The Big Blue Invitational is held at North Stafford High School on AJ Slye Field.
This show is an afternoon-evening show, with the schedule built backwards from a 9:00 awards ceremony.
There is NO registration fee!
